ABSTRACT
This chapter addresses the spelling correction issues, describesthe lexicon, and then discusses the two very different parsersthat we have used and the trade-offs between them. Readers who are uncomfortable with discussions of parsing can skip this chapter, but we hope that some of you will continue reading long enough to realize how much you can do with a very small and simple grammar and lexicon, if you tailor it to the problem at hand.
