ABSTRACT
A weapon of mass destruction (WMD) is capable of inflicting great numbers of human casualties over a large area. We give this special status to certain nuclear, biological, and chemical weapons. This chapter provides a description, brief history, and synopsis of destructive potential for each of these WMD classes.
