ABSTRACT

Large systems with multiple sites should go through an analysis process to select and prioritize locations for initial implementation efforts. ‘e adage that “success breeds success” is particularly true in larger organizations where there will be multiple site implementations. If early implementations are viewed as failures, subsequent success will become very difficult. ‘ere is no right method for selecting initial sites, but there are several factors that should be considered, including business needs, operational impact, and state of readiness. A more detailed analysis and preparation process should follow site selection.
