Exposure to Violence

Introduction –e Yale Child Study Center (2009) estimated that nearly 4 million children are victims of serious assault, and 9 million have witnessed a serious violent act. In this chapter, the ežects of exposure to violence are explored. Much of the data used in this chapter were adapted from the August 2009 research report by Vuong, Silva, and Marchionna.
