ABSTRACT
It is beyond the scope of this work to give a detailed survey of the law on liquidation. This area of law is a complex one. Not only is the Insolvency Act 1986 devoted in part to the law on liquidation (or winding-up), but this is supplemented by detailed insolvency rules governing the practice of insolvency (Insolvency (Scotland) Rules 1986).
