ABSTRACT
Discharge relates to the process of bringing a valid and enforceable contract to an end. A contract may be discharged (or terminated) by:
(a) performance of the contract; (b) agreement between the parties; (c) a breach of the contract (actual or anticipated); (d) operation of the law; (e) a frustrating event.
