ABSTRACT
May Curtis has had a career in education, training and staff development, both in local government and the voluntary sector. She is the author of a number of ‘in-house’ guides and pamphlets including: ‘Developing Training Programmes’; ‘Using Standards in Management Development’; and a manual for the training of sessional youth workers. May has had extensive experience of steering accreditation and endorsement processes, establishing quality assurance procedures for assessment, and writing occupational standards. She has served on a national panel for the endorsement of Regional Accrediting Bodies for youth and community training and is the external moderator for professional placements on the degree programme at St Mark and St John College, Exeter University. She works as an independent consultant and is currently MEDIATION UK’s Accreditation Co-ordinator.
