The effect of the Statute of Uses was not to abolish uses per se but executed the use, whereby the cestui que use became the legal owner and the feudal dues were collected from him.
For example, A (feoffee) holds land to the use of B (cestui que use). Under the Act, B became the legal owner (and beneficial owner).
