ABSTRACT

Humphreys J: These two appellants were tried at the Central Criminal Court on an indictment which contained nine counts. The first count was a charge of conspiracy to steal. The second, third, fourth and fifth counts alleged that in four

separate cases the appellants had been guilty of robbing four separate persons, that is, forcing them to give their money or goods as the result of threats and owing to fear. The next four counts charged that in those same cases they had stolen the money of those four persons, simple larceny.
