ABSTRACT
I understand from Mr A that you have kindly said that you would be prepared to give character evidence on his behalf. I would be grateful if you could write a letter addressed to myself. The letter should contain the following information:
(a) the length of time you have known Mr A; (b) the capacity in which you have known Mr A, ie, friend, neighbour, employer; (c) your opinion of his character and general behaviour based on your knowledge of him.
