ABSTRACT

Enforcing orders relating to children can be a difficult and lengthy process, which needs to be handled sensitively. It is never simply a matter of imposing sanctions for not complying with a court order, and it is important not to lose sight of the child’s welfare. You should know, on the other hand, that the courts have tended to take a more robust view in recent years than previously about, in particular, the failure of parents with care to comply with contact orders.
