ABSTRACT
The Special Waste Regulations 1996 SI 1996/972 (as amended by SI 1996/2019) came into force 1 September 1996. These substantially gave effect to the provisions of the Hazardous Waste Directive (see p 396, above). These regulations have been the subject of review by the DETR.
