ABSTRACT
Search of arrested persons is governed by s 32 of PACE 1984. The person arrested cannot be required to take off more than outer garments. The place where he was arrested, or where he was immediately before, can also be searched under s 32. Note the differences between this power and those under s 18 regarding premises.
