ABSTRACT
In this chapter, we examine the sentences of imprisonment (immediate and suspended) which may be imposed on an offender who has attained the age of 21. We look at the regime of custodial sentencing contained in the Powers of Criminal Courts (Sentencing) Act 2000 and the new regime established by the Criminal Justice Act 2003.
