ABSTRACT
Repeat victimisation, also sometimes known as revictimisation or multiple victimisation, refers to the notion that – within a given time period – an individual or household falls victim to more than one crime. Indeed, it is predicated on the assumption that once one has been victimised once, the risk of a second or third crime experience actually increases. To state the hypothesis colloquially, lightening does strike twice!
