The Funding Gap and Capacity Building

Strong and urgent action is needed to reduce global deforestation and degradation and promote afforestation, reforestation and restoration. Public and private funding will be required to drive emissions reductions in the short to medium term and there should be access to compliance carbon markets as early as possible.
