ABSTRACT
What will be, will be’, the old song reminds us, lest our new-found enthusiasm misleads us into believing that we now have the powers of an oracle! The future is truly not ours to see, but it has been ours to play with. Like good chess players we've studied a lot of possible moves and with the quiet confidence of a player who is well prepared, we are now ready to make our move. And yet we know that surprises are inevitable and the future is still going to be a big adventure! It is time now to take a last look around, consolidate what we know, gather up what we need, and step out into a future that is now less daunting.
