ABSTRACT
In Chapters 1 and 2, a radical interpretation of SD was advocated. A conceptual framework that may facilitate the desired transformation was offered in Chapters 3, 4 and 5. At issue is how this conceptual framework can be used to better understand and influence social and institutional change processes. Let us first, as part of the comparative approach of this study, try to get some idea of how these issues are approached in neoclassical economics.
