ABSTRACT
This chapter provides a summary of the current state of AQM in 20 Asian cities. It synthesizes for each city the key data and information relevant to AQM and provides general geographical, demographic and meteorological data. The estimated population in 2003 and the projected population in 2015 is taken from UN sources (UN, 2004) while the climate is classified according to the Köppen system (The Times, 2003).
