But the challenge remains if we want to expedite the transition to a renewable energy path. There is a real need to show, not just tell about, the incredibly diverse ways that renewable energy technologies have not only evolved, but actually been implemented. There is a need to demonstrate the diversity of the renewable energy technologies – among which are photovoltaics, wind turbines, hydroelectric generators,solarcollectorsforhotwater,solargreenhouses,solarcookersand biogasplants; the diversity of design and scale of each technology; the diversity of the purpose of their applications; and the diversity of the locations around the world where they have been implemented. Together they create a scenario that is simply beyond words. It is dynamic, inspiring, empowering and, indeed, revolutionary.
