ABSTRACT
To most people, landscape is scenery, particularly scenery that they admire and wish to conserve. To some, it also reflects the presence and activities of life forms – from wild nature to cultured humanity – or the opportunities offered by land for production of food, as space to live in or as an amenity for recreation.
