ABSTRACT
This chapter introduces construction processes (Section 2.1) and the consequences for landrelated resources (2.2). It then describes the human skills and disciplines that have been developed, historically and recently (2.3), and the ways in which they are applied in land-sensitive location (2.4), layout (2.5) and design (2.6) of construction works.
