ABSTRACT

This chapter offers some tips on online submission and discusses what happens once biomedical researchers abstract is accepted—or rejected. Submission sites usually allow them to create an online draft that will not be submitted to the conference until they press the 'submit' button. To take a look at the submission process, they will usually have to set up an online account. Even if they have not written the abstract yet, it is a good idea to do this early. Read every page of the submission website—even if they have to enter dummy information to move through the pages. The submission requirements for every conference are slightly different, and it is often author details that differ most. If researchers have entered dummy information into the abstract submission site, it is all easy to leave it there and then to have strange information appearing in the final abstract. Many abstract submission sites have only limited flexibility for formatting.
