ABSTRACT
T he dynamics of activity on human rights at the UN represent an important evolution of world politics. Representatives of states, the UN bureaucracy, and nongovernmental organizations (NGOs) have come together to advance the cause of human dignity in multifaceted ways. Can we theorize why this activity has been what it has been? And can we project what directions this activity will take in the future?
