ABSTRACT

This chapter explores the development and implementation of the new CERM in Nepal. Part 1 explores the development of the method from its initial inspiration with sex-trafficked women in Nepal and an early clay workshop that informed the final model. Part 2 discusses the implementation of CERM – from the pilot of the method to the final model (i.e., entrée to the field, seven clay body-mapping workshops, and group interview using photography of the women’s clay work and overarching active participant observation) incorporating highlights from the workshops. Lastly, it reflects on the adaptability and flexibility of the overall model of CERM.
