ABSTRACT

This chapter reflects on the (im)practicalities of using clay in Nepal at the time our research fieldwork was undertaken – after the 2015 Nepal earthquakes and during a political border blockade with India. It discusses issues with transportation, earthquakes, and pollution, the use of clay and the capacity to overcome all disruptions, with a commitment to do so because clay was so valuable to the reproductive health research of Nepalese sex-trafficked women.
