ABSTRACT

This chapter discusses the power of the Clay Embodiment Research Method for body-related research for populations with low literacy and its use in education. It outlines the method’s time-responsiveness for fieldwork constraints. It discusses the dangers of the method and the importance of the expertise on the project – a creative arts therapist as researcher, a young female bilingual Nepali research assistant, a support team of (female and male) adolescent sexual and reproductive health professionals, and relationships with Asha Nepal and Centre for Awareness and Promotion Nepal for successful and safe implementation of the method.
