ABSTRACT

(p. 123) Islamic law, ‘Sharica’, gives thorough detailing of systems such as systems of worship, mutual relations and penalties, but does not elaborate in detail on a system for morality; it deals with the rules of morality as orders and prohibitions from Allah (mhbe). It did not designate a special chapter for it under jurisprudence as there is no chapter termed ‘chapter of morality’ in books on jurisprudence containing the legal rulings. Jurists and those scholars concerned with interpretation of legal rulings did not concern themselves with the question of moral rulings in their research and discoveries.
