ABSTRACT

Sometimes we have to acknowledge that a break from therapy is needed, but first it might be worth considering a small change, or adding a new element to the therapy to get things going again. If anyone decide to discontinue the therapy for the time being it is important to end the period of therapy on a winning, positive note, so that if they return for further therapy, they won't remember the last session as being boring. In this chapter, however, there are some extras, outside of the main scope of our therapy – a game to intrigue adults, another one to promote cooperation between children, one just generally to have everyone laughing, and one to refresh the attention spans of clients jaded by too much work. A useful activity early in the life of a Speech and Language Therapy (SLT) group for children.
