ABSTRACT

Many natural products, isolated from plants, animals, microorganisms, etc. have a heterocyclic core and exhibit many biological activities, including anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, cytoprotective, antimicrobial, proteasome inhibitor in breast cancer cells, hepatoprotective, antiproliferative, antibacterial, antifungal, anticancer, genotoxic, and cytotoxic properties. Therefore, the synthesis and development of new approaches to the creation of natural products, especially natural products with heterocyclic cores, are of interest to synthetic and medicinal scientists. The dehydrogenative coupling process of the aromatic C(sp2)–H bond is an interesting method for the preparation of heterocyclic systems with different types of substitutions, which could be transformed into desired natural products.
