ABSTRACT

This chapter will discuss how diverse women in midlevel corporate management learn and progress toward their aspirations of top leadership. Specifically, the chapter covers diverse women’s perceptions and reflections along their leadership journey, including learning experiences and strategies that were instrumental in their career progression. The chapter provides a background on women in management and leadership plus research findings from a qualitative case study including analysis and interpretation of findings, insights, and recommendations that hold implications for theory building on developing diverse women into leadership that contributes to the literature and organizational practice.
