ABSTRACT

Description: Filgrastim is a recombinant human granulocyte-colony stimulating factor (GCSF) that regulates the production of neutrophils. The molecule is produced in Escherichia coli using recombinant DNA technology and differs from the naturally occurring molecule in having an additional methionine residue at the N-terminus and in lacking glycosylation. Neupogen is provided as a solution for subcutaneous or intravenous administration in vials and in prefilled syringes.
