ABSTRACT

This chapter presents complex case histories of children and adolescents referred for a primary diagnosis of ADHD. The chapter relies heavily on a compilation of continuous performance test (CPT) data collected on a central server for a large practitioner data base. The case for relying so heavily on CPT data is explained at the outset, followed by the statistical treatment of pre-post data on 12,200 cases of ILF training. A split-half comparison is made of ten-year data to allow the appraisal of systematic improvements in outcome with maturation of the clinical method, and with increased clinical experience on the part of the practitioner network. In a reversal of the order from the first edition, authors will present the data first, followed by the case histories.
