ABSTRACT
Like their English counterparts, most Portuguese nouns have different forms for singular and plural. Unlike English, most Portuguese adjectives also have plural forms that have to be used when they refer to a plural noun and very many have distinct masculine and feminine plural forms. The rules for forming the plural of nouns and adjectives are the same, so they will be dealt with together.
