ABSTRACT
Ovarian hyperstimulation syndrome (OHSS) is potentially the most serious complication of exogenous gonadotropin administration. Vari ous preventive measures have been proposed, as described in Chapters 19-24, yet none are com pletely effective. Thus, while prevention of the syndrome is intrinsically more desirable than treatment, unfortunately this goal has remained elusive.
