ABSTRACT

Art and science, and emotion and reason, are two sides of a common discussion in academic circles and are frequently swapped out, one for the other. The discussion also includes the concepts of creativity and the beautiful. The concept of the sublime, which is closely linked to that of beauty, is also proposed here as part of the debate. This paper aims to contribute to the reflection on how these concepts are interconnected in separate disciplines and how, at the same time, they are elements of interdisciplinary connection. And how, in reality, they are transdisciplinary concepts.
