ABSTRACT
This chapter is a reflection on a 3-day training event on subtle energies, run by Dr Patrick MacManaway, in which the author participated. The material in the course is compared with the author’s own experiences, those of other farmers in Australia, and the worldviews of Australian indigenous communities, reflecting on subtle energy, its uses in the form of geomancy or dowsing, the use of field towers and broadcasters and indigenous totems and nature spirits. This is a world of story, imagination and practical farming that science has not yet reached.
