ABSTRACT
The beautiful Dutch Wadden Island of Terschelling is surrounded by saltwater. Therefore, freshwater resources are limited, which is a challenge for food production on the island. The growing of saline crops might offer an opportunity to benefit from this saltwater. Stichting De Zilte Smaak explores the potential of saline crops on Terschelling and the development of saline products from these crops.
