ABSTRACT
The Anglican Cathedral of St John in Brisbane was built over the course of a century; it was started in 1906, and work continued until 2009. The church is of neo-Gothic style, and almost the final building activity was the completion of the crossing tower and the installation of a ring of twelve bells. An assessment was made of the consequences for the tower that would result from bell ringing.
