ABSTRACT
This paper departs from the need to implement Pancasila in everyday behavior. The author proposes that Pancasila is included in the realm of psychology, as values, hereinafter referred to as national values. This process was not simple, it began from the idea from Soekarno (1958) to the effort from the first Indonesian psychology scientist, Slamet Iman Santoso (1970). The success of psychology researchers in determining the national values brought impact to studies on its relationship with other psychological concepts. The determination of the national value provided aid for researchers and policymakers to determine which behavior will be built and which are in accordance with it. Further empirical studies are needed, however, most of the founding father’s issues have been answered.
