ABSTRACT

This chapter discusses the understanding of Coronavirus disease (COVID-19) issues and its influences on Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) 2030, particularly the Indian perspective. The 2030 Agenda of Sustainable Development was launched in 2015 to foster a new ‘Global Partnership' for sustainable development of the world. A global level impact has been summarized by the United Nations Department of Economic and Social Affairs (UNDESA) in the following infographic. The Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Act (MGNREGA) is a social refuge measure in India that aims to promise the ‘right to work'. Almost in some countries, food security becomes one of the worst affected during these times of COVID-19 pandemic. The continued lockdowns across the country have affected labour and input availability for agricultural operations. Many courses deliver by various institutions such as Coursera made it for free and learned online.
