ABSTRACT

This chapter contributes to the evolving literature on the important subject of how to handle successful statistical collaborations. It summarizes the thoughts of the previous authors in simpler ways that can be easily adapted and understood by the statistical collaborators in developing countries by introducing the ABC framework of Attitude, Bonding (Relationship) and Communication which was adapted from the Attitude, Strategy, Communication, Content and Results (ASCCR) Framework of Vance and Smith. While this framework is general and could be applied by statisticians, academicians, researchers and professionals who collaborate in any field, it is hoped that it would offer a complementary aid to help organize and stimulate research and teaching in interdisciplinary research collaborations in developing countries.
