ABSTRACT
How can we design collaborations? That is the central question that designer and researcher Christine de Lille is trying to answer. Her research focuses on the design of innovation networks, how these can work together, such as in living labs, and the role of design in research. In “Designing Our Society Together,” she illustrates how co-design is created between actors in the retail industry, using many vivid examples. To set a good example, she developed no less than 22 living labs where industry associations, local retailers, and their employees worked together on solutions that enabled them to become future-proof, with the power of designers and research designers being the key to success, time and again.
