ABSTRACT
This book chapter offers an insightful exploration into the diverse landscape of renewable energy technologies, with a specific focus on the pivotal role played by microorganisms in influencing their efficiency and sustainability. It provides a comprehensive evaluation of various renewable energy sources, including hydropower, biofuel, biogas, hydrogen storage, geothermal energy, solar power, and wind power, while highlighting the role of microorganisms in the renewable energy sector by drawing similarities from petroleum sectors.
