ABSTRACT
In recent years, reinforcements of railway embankments have been conducted for increasing the seismic resistance and reinforcements using soil nails are adopted. At the slope of the embankment, slope protection works are often constructed and can also contribute to the increase of seismic performance by connection with soil nails. However, this effect has not been studied clearly. In this paper, the effects were studied through the series of shaking table tests and the calculation method with consideration of the effect was developed and validated.
