ABSTRACT
The paper discusses the problems of construction and reconstruction of existing tailings and the development of modern computational methods and programs. In order to improve the calculations of tailing dams the authors suggest complex accounting of deformation, strength, filtration properties of soils and probability reliability of structures. Up-to-date methods and programs have been developed. The example of the calculations of the unique tailing dam “Teghout” erected in Armenia is given in the paper.
