ABSTRACT
The article describes the results of the water-temperature regime analysis in road structures in the cold regions of the Republic of Kazakhstan based on experimental studies. The types of extreme situations that reduce the strength and durability of road structures are listed. The freezing maps of the soil base of the road pavement, formed in different winter periods, are given. A relationship between the level of soil moisture and the value of negative temperature in it during the periods of winter freezing and spring thawing has been established.
