ABSTRACT

The purpose of this study is to reveal the financial management system for housewives in Kemiren, Banyuwangi Regency. The COVID-19 pandemic has brought the economy to a standstill. Many people lost their jobs and sources of income, which resulted in high economic pressure and decreased welfare in the family. During such crucial times, cash flow is important to survive. The research was conducted with a case study approach. Data were collected through in-depth interviews. The results showed that the financial management of housewives in tourist villages in the Banyuwangi district was still relatively low. Many of them do not record cash flows, but some do simple bookkeeping. Improving financial literacy for housewives in Banyuwangi Regency is needed as an effort to improve household financial management.
