ABSTRACT

Child-friendly school program is one of the educational policies in Indonesia. The implementation of child-friendly schools needs an evaluation as part of the repair process of the policy. This study aims to develop, validate, and measure the reliability of an evaluation questionnaire for child-friendly schools in Indonesia. The questionnaire was developed based on child-friendly school standards. The questionnaire was piloted on 290 elementary school high-grade students. The content validity index using Aiken's V formula was 0.87. Construct validity with exploratory factor analysis formed four factors (1) CFS policy; (2) Implementation of the learning process; (3) Child participation; and (4) Parent/guardian participation. The alpha Cronbach coefficient of 0.70 was sufficient to indicate the reliability of the questionnaire. This evaluation questionnaire is considered good enough to be used as an evaluation instrument for child-friendly schools in Indonesia
