ABSTRACT
The chapter describes two systems including carbon dioxide industrial capture and utilization technologies to produce fuel and cement prefabricates for which case study is conducted. Each of the systems is designed separately to obtain CO2 from a power plant or cement plant. The presented process block diagrams show the connection between individual units of the system. The driving source of the process is energy coming from renewable energy sources, which is also used in the production of hydrogen. The adsorption technology of carbon dioxide capture is based on carbon sorbent derived from waste biomass processing. This kind of sorbent is also proposed to possible purification of the stream to gain the required purity level of CO2 reactant. Apart from final products, such as dimethyl ether and CO2 enriched concrete prefabricates, arising others, such as activated carbon, cement, methanol or oxygen. The chapter includes also required input data from sources of carbon dioxide for numerical simulation.
